karvid plays a karaoke video while filming you on the front camera, then stacks both into a vertical 1080×1920 take ready for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts. One REC tap, one composition, one tap to share.

How to Use

• Open karvid and tap the + button on the Karaoke tab
• Pick one or more karaoke videos from your Photos library
• Tap a clip to enter the recording screen
• Hit the red REC button when you're ready — the karaoke keeps playing while the front camera records you
• Hit STOP to finish. karvid composes the stacked video in the background and saves the enabled lengths to Photos
• The top banner shows progress so you can move to the next song without waiting

FAQ

Why does the saved video have no music when I use Bluetooth headphones?

karvid uses only the microphone audio so your voice stays in sync with what you heard. When music plays through Bluetooth, the mic doesn't capture it, so the final video is a clean voice-over. Play the karaoke through the phone speaker if you want the music bleed in the recording.

Where are my recordings saved?

Every enabled length (full / 3 min / 15 sec) is saved as a separate video in your Photos library. karvid doesn't keep a copy inside the app.

My karaoke videos disappeared after I deleted the app.

karvid copies imported karaoke clips into its sandbox so they keep working across restarts and folder moves. Deleting the app wipes that sandbox along with the play history. Reinstalling means re-importing.

Why does the app need camera, microphone, and Photos permission?

Camera and microphone are required to film and record you while the karaoke plays. Photos add permission lets karvid write the final composed take to your library. karvid does not upload anything or use analytics.

Can I record multiple takes of the same song?

Yes. The recording screen stays open after each save and shows "Saved take N ✓", so you can hit REC again immediately for another attempt.

Why is one of my videos cropped to 2:59 even though I recorded longer?

The "first 3 minutes" save option caps the trimmed version at 2:59 (so it stays safely under the 3-minute threshold used by some short-form platforms). The full version still contains the entire take if "Record full" is enabled.
