karvid is designed with your privacy in mind. All video composition and audio capture runs locally on your device. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
We do not collect any data. The app does not:
• Collect personal information
• Track your usage or behavior
• Upload your videos, camera feed, or microphone audio to any server
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Use cookies or similar technologies
• Share any data with third parties
karvid requests camera and microphone permission to film and record you while the karaoke video plays. The capture is composed with the karaoke clip entirely on your device using Apple's AVFoundation framework. Camera and microphone feeds are not stored or sent anywhere except the final composed video, which is written to your own Photos library.
karvid asks for Photos add-only permission to write the composed karaoke takes (full, 3-minute, and 15-second versions, depending on your Settings) to your Photos library. karvid does not read your existing Photos beyond the videos you explicitly select via the iOS picker.
All video composition, trimming, and export runs locally using Apple's AVFoundation framework. No audio, video, or metadata is sent to external servers.
Imported karaoke clips are copied into the app's sandbox so they keep working across restarts. Per-song settings (resume position, play count, last-played date, recording history) are stored locally via SwiftData. No account is required. Deleting the app permanently removes all of this data.
The app does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page with an updated date.
